The core of this set is the Auer Packaging Euro container ED 43/22 HG with a hinged lid, in the standardized external size of 400 x 300 x 235 mm. This robust Eurobox serves as the outer shell for the foam system inside, combining standardized stacking dimensions with the convenience of an integrated hinged lid. In combination with the foam inserts, it becomes a versatile transport and storage solution for sensitive and valuable items.

The interior protection is provided by four perforated raster foam inserts, each measuring 370 mm x 270 mm x 50 mm (SKU: IUMFOR050). These foam blocks are pre-cut in a 15 mm x 15 mm grid across the full 50 mm height, allowing you to easily remove small square segments and adapt the cavity to fit a wide range of item shapes and sizes. Because of this pick-and-pluck structure, the foam can be customized to most forms, whether rectangular, irregular, or contoured, while still providing a snug and cushioning fit.

Each raster foam insert has a continuous surrounding border of 15 mm. This border remains unperforated, providing additional stability at the edges and helping the foam retain its shape inside the container. It also helps prevent the foam from breaking apart at the sides, which is particularly relevant when the box is handled frequently or subjected to transport vibrations.

Underneath the raster foam layers, the set includes a 10 mm thick foam bottom pad (358 mm x 258 mm x 10 mm, SKU: DEMENL010). This bottom pad is sized so that it fits precisely into the recess of Auer Packaging Euroboxes in the 40 x 30 cm format. It acts as a base layer beneath the customizable foam blocks, adding an extra cushion between your items and the rigid container floor, and ensuring that the foam stack is properly supported and aligned within the box.

For the lid, the set provides a self-adhesive foam piece measuring 338 mm x 238 mm x 20 mm (SKU: JDBA010S). This foam is specially cut for the lid of a 40 x 30 cm Auer Eurobox and is intended to be glued directly into the inner side of the hinged lid. Once adhered, it acts as the upper cover layer, gently pressing down on the items held in the raster foam below when the lid is closed. This prevents contents from shifting during transport and adds impact protection from above.

The combination of bottom pad, multiple raster foam layers, and lid foam creates a full 3D protection system: the base cushions from below, the raster foam holds items laterally and vertically in customized recesses, and the lid foam secures them from above. Together with the rigid Euro container walls, this arrangement is well-suited for transporting various industrial goods that require reliable protection, such as medical devices, sensitive technical instruments, or individual tool parts.

An additional feature is the option to add a compatible handle (SKU: 16538, available separately). With this optional handle, the Eurobox can be converted into a carrying case in just a few steps, making transport even more convenient. This handle is not part of the set, but the box is prepared so that, when the handle is installed, the combination of Euro container, hinged lid, and foam interior functions as a practical case for mobile use.

While the foam and container are optimized for Auer’s 40 x 30 cm Eurobox format—specifically the ED 43/22 HG model—the general concept can protect many different types of contents, as long as they fit within the internal dimensions and can be accommodated by the 15 mm grid structure of the raster foam. The pre-perforated design makes it straightforward to adjust the interior layout while still retaining the structural integrity provided by the 15 mm edge border and the dedicated bottom and lid layers.
