Games Workshop packed an unusual amount into a few days this week — the Ogors got their whole range, Chaos marched back into the Old World, and a brand new Aeldari faction quietly went live in the app. Here is what caught our eye between 4 and 11 August.
The Ogor Mawtribes Get Their Full Range
The army set was only the appetiser — now the complete Ogor Mawtribes range goes up for pre-order.
Sunday's preview finally answered the question every Mawtribes player has been asking since the box dropped: what happens to the rest of the range? The answer is basically everything, all at once. Leading the charge is Morga the Mighty astride her Glutthorn Grutta, and the kit is generous — you can build her as a Tyrant on Glutthorn instead, with the mount armoured or unarmoured depending on how much plate you like on your giant beast.
What makes this release interesting from a logistics point of view is the sheer spread of model sizes. A Mawtribes army now runs from three-model Ironguts packs all the way up to a Stonehorn, which is not a combination that fits neatly into anything designed for a single scale.
- New characters: Morga the Mighty on the Glutthorn Grutta, Redd the Maw (a High Slaughtermaster with his cauldron) and Grell Firefist with his cannon
- Infantry: Gluttons in a five-model box, Ironguts in a pack of three, and a three-model Cleavers/Gutseers kit with two build options
- Beasts and cavalry: Maulbeast Raiders and Maulbeast Cavalry (two models each), Hunters with Sabrefangs (three Hunters plus two Sabrefangs), and the Mantrapper
- Regiment of Renown: Okar's Torrbad, pairing a Huskard on Stonehorn with a Thundertusk Beastrider
- Books and extras: Battletome: Ogor Mawtribes as a hardback and as a Gamer's Edition with softback and warscroll cards, plus a sixteen-dice set in frost grey
One note for readers down under: the pre-order start in Australia and New Zealand has been pushed back.
If you are building the Mawtribes from scratch, mixed model heights are the thing to plan for early — small infantry trays for the Gluttons and Ironguts, deep compartments for the big beasts.

Chaos Marches On The Old World — And Blood Bowl Brings Out The Big Guys
Saturday's pre-orders covered two very different tables: Warriors of Chaos regiments for the Old World, and three plastic Big Guys for Blood Bowl.
On the Old World side, the headline is a combination kit that builds either a Lord on Chaos Dragon or a Sorcerer on Chaos Dragon, backed up by Champions of Chaos, Chaos Warriors and Chaos Knights. The rules come in the Arcane Journal: The March of Chaos, with an Arcane Magic Ploys card pack alongside it. Two Battle March Army boxes also appeared, one for Warriors of Chaos and one for Grand Cathay, both cheaper than buying the contents separately — a useful on-ramp if you have been circling the game for a while.
Blood Bowl got the more surprising news. Morg 'n' Thorg is back with jersey options, and the Minotaur and Rat Ogre are in plastic for the very first time. More importantly, Blood Bowl Sevens has returned properly: the rules are in Spike! Journal #22, and there is a separate, smaller double-sided pitch with its own dugouts to play them on.

Two very different transport problems here. Rank-and-file Chaos regiments want tight, evenly spaced compartments so the blocks stay in formation. A Sevens roster is small enough that a compact team tray does the job — while Morg, the Minotaur and the Rat Ogre all need real depth.

Orks Get New Bosses And Waaaghbikes Ahead Of The Codex
Two new Ork kits were shown this week, both timed around the upcoming Codex: Orks for the eleventh edition.
The first is a boss kit that builds five different bosses sharing one close-combat profile, with a spread of specialist gear between them. The nice touch is the three Grots included as ammo carriers — the kind of detail that makes an Ork character look like a character rather than a slightly larger Boy.
The second is a full redesign of a classic: the Waaaghbikes. Each one carries twin dakkaguns, and the Bikerboss can mount rokkits on top of that. The two kits are not arriving together, though — the Waaaghbikes launch alongside Codex: Orks, and the bosses follow a little later.

Bikes are the awkward ones — wide, low and easy to snap at the handlebars if they rattle around. Flat, generously cut compartments beat tall ones here, while the bosses want their own upright slots.
Aeldari Exodites: Rules And Points Are Live
The Exodites arrived in the Warhammer 40,000 app with full rules and points the same weekend Kill Team: Exodite hit the shelves.
They share a strikingly consistent statline across the board: M10", Mounted, T5, four wounds, a 4+ save with no invulnerable, and OC2, all carrying Battle Focus and the Asuryani keyword. That last detail matters — it means they slot into existing Aeldari detachments rather than sitting off to the side as a curiosity.
Early consensus among reviewers is that the points look fair, with the faction reading strongest in a Windrider Host detachment, where a 4+ invulnerable save against shooting papers over the missing invuln on the base profile.

- Stonesinger: 60 points, providing ranged and psychic support

Mounted models on large round bases are their own storage category — tall, front-heavy and prone to leaning on their lances. Worth measuring properly before you cut anything.

Dead by Daylight sells storage as a headline feature. Level 99 Games launched a new Gamefound campaign on 11 August for the video game's tenth anniversary, bundling the base game with the four existing expansions — Gatekeeper, Unbroken, Malicious and Lightbringer — plus upgrade kits for people who already own them. The centrepiece is the Auris Box, a purpose-built storage solution for the whole collection. When a publisher makes organisation the selling point, you know the miniature piles have got out of hand.
Cult of the Lamb is closing in on two million pounds. Paper Fort Games' board game adaptation stood at £1,945,980 from 10,252 backers as of 11 August — 10,269% of an £18,950 goal. It is a worker placement dungeon crawler for one to four players, with cardboard standees in the base version and miniatures in the deluxe. The campaign ends on 14 August, so the final number will be higher than this.
Galactic Cruise sweeps the Dice Tower Awards. Kinson Key Games' debut took Game of the Year, Best Strategy Game and Best Game from a New Designer. Luthier from Paverson Games took three of its own — Best Theme, Best Production and Best Game from a Small Publisher. Vantage was named Most Innovative, and 7 Wonders Duel, Codenames and Pandemic Legacy Season 1 entered the Hall of Fame.
SPIEL 2026 hall plans are online. The exhibitor list and floor plans for Essen went live this week, so you can start working out which stands are worth queueing for. The show runs from 22 to 25 October and fills all eight halls for the first time — roughly 81,200 square metres, and already fully booked. As a Berlin manufacturer, we will be paying close attention.
